Today’s theme is gratitude to God – “UTANG NA LOOB SA DIYOS” – for the wonders the Lord has done not only for Mary Most Holy, but also for our community and each of us. A grateful heart is a wonderful heart, a heart that knows all is grace and knows how to be thankful to the Lord, the Source of all

We thank the Lord together with our Blessed Mother for the wonderful things He has done for Her and for us. Let us equally express our gratitude to all those who have done good to us by praying for their needs and intentions. Let our grateful prayer in this Eucharistic celebration be our best advance Christmas gift for them.

Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior for he has looked upon his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm, and has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever.”

Mary remained with Elizabeth about three months and then returned to her home.
