COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE WEARY ON FIRST FRIDAYS

"LET MY DIVINE HEART BE YOUR SECURITY AND REFUGE
DURING LIFE, AND ABOVE ALL IN DEATH."

12 SACRED HEART PROMISES

Every First Friday of each month, devout and faithful Catholics consecrate their lives to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the spirit of reparation.

Jesus Christ Himself made the following promises to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, in favor of those who fervently practice and promote this devotion.

1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.

2. I will give peace in their families.

3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.

4. I will be their security and refuge during life, and above all, in death.

5. I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.

6. Sinners will find in My Heart the Source, and Infinite Ocean of Mercy.

7. Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.

8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

9. I will bless every place in which an Image of My Heart is exposed
and honored.

10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

11. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names
written in My Heart.

12. I promise you in the excessive Mercy of My Heart, that My all powerful Love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months, the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in My disgrace, nor without receiving their Sacraments. My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

NSSH HOMILY HIGHLIGHTS - OCTOBER 2013

NATIONAL SHRINE OF THE SACRED HEART
HOMILY HIGHLIGHTS - OCTOBER 2013

Oct. 2 6:00 PM Mass - Fr. Gerard Reyes

Sa mata ng Diyos, and maliliit ay ikinalulugod. Siya'y may tagatanod at patuloy silang pinanonood.

Oct. 3 7:30 AM Mass - Monsignor Romeo Violeta

The salvation meant by Jesus is not only for the chosen ones but for everyone. It's Christ's peace from reconciliation with God, with ourselves and with others. Peace is not achieved when we carry negative feelings, that we have not forgiven. It is only when you forgive yourself that you can be free from imprisonment of your past. In The Eucharist, let us accept the peace of Christ and the peace of reconciliation.

Oct. 13 9:00 AM Mass - Fr. Rogelio Orpiada

On gratitude - Kung tayo ay nakaranas ng kbutihan, hindi po natin ito mababayaran. Gawin mo yang kabutihang iyan sa kapwa mo so that you can be a communicator of love.

Oct. 18 6:00 PM Mass - Fr. Lorenzo Ruggiero

On the feast of St. Luke - The feast teaches us not to give up and never to grow cold in loving people. Ask the Lord to give you the zeal to understand and love others . . . or revive the flame of your love for others.

Let us pray that the fire that we received in Baptism and Confirmation may not go out in our life.

Oct. 20 12:00 NN Mass - Fr. Gerard Reyes

Ang nangungulit, nakikiusap . . . nagmamakaawa.
